The Langkawi Beach Hash House Harriers (LBH3)was founded in 1994 by Bob , IMPERIAL FINGER, Woods, and Ahmad, TIGER SHOW, Fazil. The first run was 16 June 1994 . A club house was made available in the village of Kuala Teriang, but unfortunately the club died out from non-participation. The club house is still operational and is used occasionally for Hash runs. It is located at 78 Batu Ara, Kuala Teriang, Langkawi 07000, Kedah, Malaysia. BRAINOUT and PAK GURU resurrected the club on 11 March 2006, with run #333, the “Re-Awakening Hash”. Many of the Hashers, (we don’t have members as such), are cruising yacht people who are, by definition, transient. It is difficult, therefore, to maintain continuity in the LBH3. Anywhere from 10 to 40 Hashers join us for our twice monthly meets. Mismanagement rules! Langkawi is a lush tropical island off the West coast of Malaysia very near to the Thai border. It presents a vast array of different terrains and Hashers run\walk\slither\stumble through mangroves, rubber plantations, dense jungle, rice paddies, villages, across beautiful beaches, up hills and down hills in a mostly jovial and casual manner in order to reach the on-on-on and down-down-down those well deserved cold beers. We currently conduct hashes every second Friday, starting at 1800, usually in remote areas around Langkawi island and we eventually wind up in one of our many favorite eating establishments for a Hash Feast.
